My 92 Range Rover Classic is stuck in Center Diff Lock. I upgraded to the LT230 Transfer case adn my second time off road the CDL engaged and never disengaged.
I have removed the center consul and it appears there is an issue with my linkage, so I am working on a repair for that now and then I am going to run some marvel mystery oil in the Transfer case because I understand these can freeze up and Marvel seems pretty good a freeing stuff like this up. I will let you know how it work.
Taking the center consule off wasn't too bad, the biggest issue I had was finding the motivation to get this done. It be a little scary starting something that you have never done before, but the best way to learn is to just start pulling stuff apart and look for broken stuff then buy or repair the part and put it all back to gether again. This ended up being easier than what I was prepared for.

If the nipple is moving freely then you might want to consider changing the fluid and driving without your front shaft. But your best bet might be to just keep an eye out for an LT230 second hand. A guy at my local Rover Shop has an LT230 I might pick up for myself
If it aint broke, fix it anyways
